So me being the worry wort that I am, I started thinking about work today. I have decided when I and my amazing fiance do decide to have a child that I will stop working. Thinking more on this I would really like to have something flexible that I would to from home possibly.

The question is do any of you work or are self employed? how to do you reconcile this with HE?

It can work well with tag teaming, both adults working part time and flexitime (or shifts). It just means you don't have a conventional looking 8 hours a day where everyone is out of the house.

I was self-employed for most of my HEing time. I am a copyeditor and I work from home, which means I could work at odd hours (from 5am, before the children got up, and after they went to bed).

I also only worked an average of 20 hours per week. When I divorced, I worked every weekend, when the DC were with their father.
