shes five years old

SlightlySuperiorPeasant Fri 30-Nov-12 20:45:33

Stick lots of glow in the dark stars to the ceiling so it looks like she's camping every night smile

whiteandyelloworchid Fri 30-Nov-12 20:47:51

oh she would love that slightly, shes really into glow in the dark things at the moment.

MisForMumNotMaid Fri 30-Nov-12 20:49:26

verbaudet grass woodland rug

If your a new customer there's normally a good discount.

FromEsme Fri 30-Nov-12 20:49:45

I LOVE that sticker, adorable!

Lulabird do nice things with a woodlandy theme.

I'm trying to find a blog I used to like with lots of kids' room ideas, but can't seem to find it sad

PoppyWearer Fri 30-Nov-12 20:52:03

Vertbaudet have some lovely child's bedroom stuff in a woodlandy theme - a grass rug, rabbits, mushrooms, etc.

PoppyWearer Fri 30-Nov-12 20:52:23

Xpost!

I just lovely curtains from ikea that are navy blue with owls in trees. They also do a duvet set.

dementedma Fri 30-Nov-12 20:53:13

Get a stool shaped like a wooden mushroom.second the glow stars.

SelfRighteousPrissyPants Fri 30-Nov-12 20:55:59

Try the woodland trust website for downloads of things to make if she likes woods, they have some great ideas.

sadlovedgirl Fri 30-Nov-12 20:58:28

Have a look at John Lewis, they do a range called 'little house at home' (I think) and they do some lovely curtains with 'magic trees' on.
I'm sure they do other things in the range too
Hth smile

whiteandyelloworchid Fri 30-Nov-12 21:02:04

oh i love the grass rug with the toadstools!!, and the toadstool lights and the idea of a stool.

i shall look at the sites and things you've all suggested

your coming up with things i would never have thought of

Rhienne Fri 30-Nov-12 21:06:34
whiteandyelloworchid Fri 30-Nov-12 21:07:36

oh yeah she would love that leaf canopy!

MsElleTow Fri 30-Nov-12 21:10:55

Dunelm Mill have woodland theme bedding and curtains.

whiteandyelloworchid Fri 30-Nov-12 21:11:07

My DD2 has this nature bedlinen & curtains from Dunelm Mills.

SweetMingePie Fri 30-Nov-12 21:12:24

toadstool cushion

toadstool decorations

They also do a toadstool rug but its out of stock.

MisForMumNotMaid Fri 30-Nov-12 21:17:10

this from the same Ikea range. So cute. I'm getting sucked into this and thinking DD might be getting a woodland theme bedroom for her 2nd birthday in Jan.

redwellybluewelly Fri 30-Nov-12 21:18:16

I wanted to do outdoors and woodsy but went with the bird theme (a few pieces) from vertbaudet as we didnt have the space to do anything 'tree' but wish I had posted a thread as some of these ideas are fantastic!

hope your DD loves it

ButtonBoo Fri 30-Nov-12 21:19:30

And if she's camping out in her woodland - an indoor teepee? Or one of these www.cardboardtoys.com/acatalog/paperpod-cardboard-playhouse.html She can then paint it woodlandy???

ButtonBoo Fri 30-Nov-12 21:19:46

Link fail! Sorry!

http://dearlillieblog.blogspot.co.at/2011/04/hanging-branch-tutorial.html?m=1
Something like this hanging from ceiling - you don't need to spray the branch, and you can buy sweet little feathered birds that you can sort of clip onto the branches.

SmallKindnesses Fri 30-Nov-12 21:22:41

Sorry about the link, am on phone.

We have these in DD's room.

SmallKindnesses Fri 30-Nov-12 21:30:59

Maybe some ideas here too:
hope this link works

MisForMumNotMaid Fri 30-Nov-12 21:32:52

What about some small individual plain coat hooks on the wall sticker branches so its like she's hanging her bag/ nightgown on a branch?

whiteandyelloworchid Fri 30-Nov-12 21:40:05

oh thanks everyoone, ive got a feeling this is goign to turn out really really good.
some of these things ive never even heard of
she would go mad for one of those fairy doors.
i shal def get one of them.
theres not enough space in the room for a playhouse in her room.
yes yes a little hedgehog would be brill
and some sort of branch with bird on it.
maybe i could use one of those funny looking xmas tress, you know the ones that look like bare twig, with some feathered birds and perhaps a bird box on the wall

like this too

ISeeSmallPeople Fri 30-Nov-12 21:44:31

That is all so cute.
I will have to persuade DD that she wants this instead of the pink horror she fell in love with that the previous little girl left. With the pink curtains its like being in a dayglo womb, with hello kitty leering at you.

whiteandyelloworchid Fri 30-Nov-12 21:52:50

good idea about the hooks, but the tree will be behind a midsleeper so not sure there will be space to hang things

These are all such lovely ideas which I am
Shamelessly stealing for when dd goes from our room and shares one with ds.
We have moved into a brand new conversion and he has only white walls with beige carpet and jungle bedding/curtains and ikea storage in primary colours as I couldn't decide what to do that would suit a boy and girl. When he is older he will go upstairs and the room will just belong to dd so this theme is perfect. So sweet! wink

whiteandyelloworchid Fri 30-Nov-12 22:10:23

oh great i'm glad it helping others too, perhaps tthere will be a few woodland themed bedrooms cropping up now smile

yes its really nice for boys and girls

ISeeSmallPeople Fri 30-Nov-12 22:12:43

No, the boys would never let me prize the Lego ninjago, dr who Daleks, & Simpsons posters from their walls.

Get them whilst they are still young enough to have no say

bissydissy Fri 30-Nov-12 22:15:48

We

cashmere Fri 30-Nov-12 22:17:16

How funny I'm doing a woodland themed nursery for DS (due any day). Have a few bits from ikea- soft toys, quilt cover, fabric to make laundry bag. They also do a rug that looks like a river with stepping stones....though I love that toadstool rug.

Not On The Highstreet have some gorgeous prints with foxes/squirrels etc

bissydissy Fri 30-Nov-12 22:18:02

Eh that worked well. I was going to link to the harlequin what a hoot owl fabric but am clearly in capable.

BikeRunSki Fri 30-Nov-12 22:21:07

DS has this Log Cabin play tent.

Corygal Fri 30-Nov-12 22:22:16

These are GORGEOUS - and will last forever, for all children.

Wave chair, in lovely wood, perfect for moments of chill

oh x post cashmere, i must have been looking fo rthat as you were posting

whiteandyelloworchid Fri 30-Nov-12 23:01:26

here

dd could display her art in here, or something like this, could get her to do some woodland type paintings

FlippinHeckItsCold Fri 30-Nov-12 23:11:25

rubyrubyruby I was blissfully unaware of skirting board fairy doors, but now I have to buy one, or two and I blame you grin

So cute and you can get little windows too. My DD would be so excited!

ISeeSmallPeople Fri 30-Nov-12 23:14:27

Right you lot, you must stop with the ideas, or you will solely be responsible for the extension.

Please send funds to ISeeSmallPeople's DD's new bedroom justgiving page, & I will sponsor a tame squirrel in her name, and build the 4 story extension I need to fit all this stuff in wink

Obstreperous Fri 30-Nov-12 23:15:54

LOVE this idea - I am totally pinching for my DSs' bedroom. Fab!

Obstreperous Fri 30-Nov-12 23:17:20

Ps, check out this awesome cushion cover:

www.andshine.co.uk/scion-woodland-cushion-cover---beige~136

whiteandyelloworchid Fri 30-Nov-12 23:17:50

oh yes i am definatly getting a fairy door too lol
grin

whiteandyelloworchid Fri 30-Nov-12 23:19:46

i think this is going ot be great! and the sort of thign you can add to easily

i better order my wall stickers soon before you lot make them sell out!

ISeeSmallPeople Fri 30-Nov-12 23:19:47

If you want squirrels there are loads of wooden handcrafted shite in the shops now as Xmas decorations. Wait til boxing day, & buy for pence. No nails to wall swear about it in 5 years when they want the cute one from one direction on their walls instead

rubyrubyruby Sat 01-Dec-12 11:33:39

I love fairy doors grin and would have them in every room if DH would let me

MisForMumNotMaid Sat 01-Dec-12 16:53:30

1 each paint you own fairy doors from ebay. DH has gone to the football and somehow the three DC have just acquired something extra each for their stockings.

I popped into this shop near me a few days ago - they had a lovely set of wall stickers with a rabbit/woodland theme, they don't seem to be on their website though, but they have lots of other things that you might like.
