Would you consider these Laura Ashley curtains nice or hideous 70s style?

I'm looking for some curtains for our living room, which is painted a light, buttery yellow on 3 of the walls, and a mid greige on the wall facing the windows. We have a warm, reddish oak floor.

What do you think of this fabric for curtains? At first I loved it, but now am wondering whether it will date horribly. FYI, there are no other patterns in the room at the moment, and this is to cover patio doors, plus one other normal-sized window

The other option is something safe like these from John Lewis (off-white with a delicate pattern):

Ha!
I knew those would be the curtains before I opened the link!
I like them a lot, but do you? Instead of the JL ones, I would go totally plain. Those look a bit like you got frightened of something.

Aagghh! Why isn't my link working anymore? Here it is again in case anyone else can't find them

Initially I was looking for something cream and plain, hence the JL ones. I even ordered them and they're sitting in my living room now. Then I happened across the Laura Ashley ones, and I instantly liked them and think they'll go. However, a few days later and now when I look at them they remind me of 70s wallpaper. So I don't know...

Instantly liked is good.
You are overthinking. Go with the gut.

Definitely the Laura Ashley ones.

The only thing I would say is that I got some Laura Ashley ready made curtains and am really disappointed in the quality. It's a different fabric to the one you linked to but just wanted to warn you to check the quality.

Yeah, I actually noticed that the ready made version of these curtains is cotton, while the fabric they use for made-to-measure curtains is cotton/linen. I assume this is one reason why the ready made curtains are so much cheaper.
