That's it really, I'm hoping to buy a period property and don't love curtains so would love to get vintage looking shutters for lots of the windows. I gather they are mega bucks, does anyone have experience with new ones or sourcing vintage ones?

I think I may have Wine taste with a Brew budget. Grin

We had Hilary's shutters in our last house. They weren't cheap (although much cheaper than Thomas Sanderson), but honestly we never regretted the money as we loved them. Planning to get them in this house to once we've done the million and one other things that we want to do first

We have white shutters. They are great. I wouldn't recommend the company we ordered from but there are a lot. We had some kind of treated mdf, looks the same & much cheaper.

We are trying to get a similar look with white wooden blinds. Blinds 2 go are really good. They are very reasonably priced and do lovely wooden blinds with tape and extra large slats... just ordered some for all the bedrooms and can't wait to see how they look...

They'll be cheaper you can have them made by a tame joiner/carpenter.
