Bathroom tiles - two tile types ?

I maybe about to give in and let dh have metro tiles in the shower, probably in blue/grey, preferably with slight hue variation. The rest of the bathroom will need tiling but we've leaning towards to just doing up to the window sill, including a boxed in bath and behind the sink. I'd rather have large (50+cm) tiles (everywhere to be honest) can't face the grouting of doing it all in metro.

I'm thinking (coloured) metro and large (floor) tiles on the walls (white or just off white) but will it look weird to have two styles of tiles ?

I also like the idea (but not the painting) of cladding. And a cork floor although we could match the floor and (large floor tiles) tiles on wall.

Thoughts ? Pictures ? Favourite tile places ? Are big tiles harder to fit ? Any comments most appreciated.
