Just that really thinking of getting a combination from the karlstad range at ikea but I have 4 kids (10,7,6,3) that seem to launch them self at the sofa and fidget like mad -use it as a climbing frame- would it be tough enough or even comfortable, not that I get 2 mins to sit down!

We have 5 of these in various rooms and 2 little boys aged 7 and 51!

Sturdy enough, comfortable, but the base cushions tend to move forward a bit so you have to periodically shove them back in. I stained the legs a bit darker as we have dark wood floors.

We have some covers from IKEA and some from BEMZ, as they have a wider range of fabrics.

old did you sand the legs back before you stained then (want to do the same as I also have dark floors)?
Thanks

I have them and generally pleased with them. I have the same issue as oldnewmummy with the cushions sliding forward, it's mildly irritating. Other than that they are fine, i have washed the covers numerous times as I have a mucky two year old and they have stood up fairly well, I did notice some of the stitching coming away on a seam the last time I washed them but I think they aren't actually labelled as washable so my own fault really.

Thanks Madge, I thought they were supposed to be washable, have washed mine at any rate!
I would like to get some new covers too but am bit shocked at how much they cost even at IKEA.
Does anyone know of a cheaper option than IKEA or BEMZ?
I cant sew so no chance of making my own!

OP I think for the money that its a good sofa but yes a few design glitches...

Sorry Pannacotta, just seen this.

No, just put stain straight on and was fine.
