How are they supposed to go? Inside the window or outside (like curtains).

Where can I find nice ones?

Depends on age but we got a nice map one from dunelm mill, have quite a good range online. We also bought some blue dotty ones for nursery.

Blackout blinds usually come as roller blinds which is not my personal taste, I like Roman blinds and there is much more choice but nothing in a ready made with blackout lining I found. :(

What i have in my son's bedroom is a plain white blackout roller blind fitted inside the window frame and close to the window but hidden behind a nice roman blind which hangs at the front of the window and covers the whole mechanism of the roller behind it ifswim? i rarely ever move the roman blind and it just sits looking nice like a pelmet and I roll the blackout blind down at night.

It works for me anyway - the practicality without the uglyness :)
