Cargo homeshop

I have been told today that whilst Cargo have the most important and expensive parts of my order of furniture for a nursery (baby due in 10 days) they will not deliver as they are waiting for two smaller units which have been delayed. They also told me that this would delay delivery until mid April.

I sought to find every solution with their customer services rep. Receive delivery of part of the order, cancel and order just those bits they have in stock, pay an additional delivery charge or pay in full in cash. All to no avail. I was told that their hands are tied and there is nothing they can do to help. If I cancel, the units will go to someone else who has been waiting less time so I can't reorder them.

Very fed up. Confused

I think you need to sign up to Twitter and Facebook and be polite, but sad.

Cargo are on both.

It might seem like it, but it isn't a disaster for the "dream bedroom" to arrive a bit late. I am sure the midwives and health visitors will tut tut immensely if you dare mention that your child is going to sleep in a separate room for the 1st 6 months.

Actually, am now remembering tearful conversations with carpet fitters who refused to fit my nursery carpet until somebody had fixed the floorboards (with baby slurping away under a shawl).

Oh...try to fix things now...but just let yourself cry and cry if things aren't ready.

Keep sane and enjoy the journey...
