I saw some reclaimed wood furniture for bedroom which I really like, but not sure whether I should buy them or not. Has anyone had any experience about having reclaimed wood furniture in their bedroom?

What exactly are you worried about?

I can't see any reason why it would be an issue. Am I being a bit thick?!

Yes, have a chest of drawers made out of old floorboards. Bought it about 19 years ago, no problems other than it is waxed and occasionally sheds the old spilt we. Also have some fixed and freestanding bookshelves made out if really thick old Victorian floorboards, again made them about 18 years ago (having bought the floorboards). They look beautiful and are solid. Also bought a wardrobe about 10 years ago, which the shop claimed was made from reclaimed wood, believed them at the time but gradually realised that they lying through their teeth and it was modern pine - so unless you're buying it from a reclamation yard, I'd be cautious about what you are really being sold!

Many thanks for your responses. I was wondering if the reclaimed furniture is safe, especially to sleep on? As i read something which says that much of the wood used in railroads has been heavily treated with chemicals, such as creosote, which is known to seep into the ground and contaminate the soil or water in the immediate area — which would make the use of such wood in furniture a bad choice. I thought I would ask around in hopes that others may have information to share.

I've heard you need to be careful using sleepers for raised veg patches, but I don't think they use sleepers for furniture. More likely old floorboards.
