Vinyl plantation shutters

Has anyone got any views on vinyl plantation shutters please? I would like plantation shutters on a large kitchen window, but I am nervous about having wooden ones in case they warp - there is a lot of condensation in my house as it is, and the kitchen is sometimes rather steamy (not in the saucy sense, at least not that type of sauce, unfort). Do vinyl shutters looks OK or do they look gruesome? Or are there any issues with them? Also, any recommendations for shutter companies in London / Surrey would be gratefully received.

I think you are making the right choice - moisture can cause problems with some products ! but that said - most products now carry a list of where you should and where you shouldn't use them ! so if you prefer wood and there's no reason from the manufacturer to say you shouldn't - then go for wood !
