Agree with precious. We've got the double, and it's a good spare bed, fine as occasional seat in our study, but would be a crap everyday sofa.

Yup, agree with other posters. Fine as spare bed, actually pretty comfortable but as a sofa it's pretty crap to be honey, literally made for perching!

Guys S.O.S.!
I have a crazy flatmate and I want to get the hell away from him.
Anyway, he claims that I have damaged his LYCKSELE.
Please, can anyone tell me if the back of this sofa-bed is supposed to lean forward or not?
Extra info: Normally, LYCKSELE has two plastic pieces that cover the joints on the back of it (back when it is a sofa). In my case they are missing (and I was not the one to lose them :P)
Please, give me some feedback, I don't want to run to IKEA for this psycho...
Thank you very much!

I gave mine away on the local fb for sale page as I was sick of looking at the ugly lump but no, it did not lean forwards at the back.

Can you get the missing bits replaced at Ikea? Next to customer services they have a sort of back office/workroom with lots of spare bits and pieces. Worth your flatmate asking and tell him it wasn't you that lost them. Has it def been folded up correctly?

I got the chair bed off eBay - total bargain and very pleased with it for small bedroom also used as a study.

Agree with others. We've recently got rid of one. It was good as a sofa for the kids, as there was no cushions to lose stuff behind. Too hard to be a comfy seat, though. I managed to sleep on it when I was in my 30s, but in my 40s, more recently, I needed an extra topper on the mattress.

And no, definitely no leaning forwards!

It looks rubbish, so we put a nice throw on it. As a sofa, it seems fine, firm and comfortable. But as a bed it is useless. It keeps snapping open when you lay on. We are currently awaiting advice from IKEA, if it comes. Our unsuspecting guests arrive in four days' time!
