What colour furniture would be best...

I know it will be hard as I don't have any pics but any advice appreciated...
Completely redoing my lounge, have just got a new fire which is black with silver trim and white surround, have ordered a black 2+3 leather suite, and plan to get a light grey carpet. My walls will hopefully be getting plastered, and painted 3walls light grey, fire wall patterned.
I only have a medium lounge but would like a nest of tables and a cabinet of some sort preferably with drawers and possibly a tv stand cabinet...
My first thought waste get black glass but with 3kids it will be a nightmare to keep clean and also thought that the black furniture would clash with my new black sofa.
I just don't know what to do. I don't want anything traditional looking, .
Any suggestions?

If you think black would work in the room you could get something like the Klubbo nesting tables - m.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/art/50135025/

and the Bjursta sideboard from Ikea - m.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/art/00117024/

I suggest going here and selecting one of the shades of grey or black to see what combos it throws up. But beware, you may end up with a folder of schemes for every room in the house and be able to choose between them and end up settling for digitally collecting ever more colour combo schemes rather than actually implementing any of them in the house cos you are so overwelmed with the huge range of delectable choice

I'm not sure what other colours would work with what you have. White maybe? Might look ok. Or maybe grey? I think any wood would look out of place with all the blacks/greys.

Mirror finish? Would show fingerprints but could give the non traditional look you want.
