need some lighting ideas for a vaulted ceiling in a traditional house. I am a bit of a "recessed spotlight " girl but these will look wrong ... was thinking of spotlights but struggling to find something which isnt super modern or very expensive

What about hanging lights on a sort of suspended rail? I''ve seen one somewhere-can't describe it any better sorry.

We have a vaulted ceiling throughout our upstairs. It depends how your electricscare wired, but we ran the light cable along the top of a beam then drilled through the beam to suspend lights off that.

If you've no beams a corded light fitting would work. You attach the ceiling rose at the angle of the slope, but the light fitting will still hand straight down iyswim. Small spots angled up will also take the gloom away.

I used Jim Lawrence for fittings. Some stupidly priced stuff, but lots reasonably priced. Call them for advice, they were really helpful when I was doing my house renovation.
