What colour for this kitchen?

I've just moved into an amazing little cottage in the middle of nowhere and want to make it beautiful! Landlord has given me free reign to make improvements.
This kitchen is a bright, lime green, which I don't hate, but where the prev occupants have taken down cupboards, there are big unprinted patches. I was thinking a bright, sunflower yellow as it gets all the lovely morning sun and would really glow. I'm crap at this kind of thing though! Any better ideas? The tiles are dark shiny green.

Boring I know... but I would go for a really lovely rich cream and then accessorize to tie in the green.
