Can't get rid of the paint smell!!

I painted some of dd room yesterday and did the skirting boards too. I use satin not gloss, have done before and never had a problem with it but last night I had to put dd in our room because her room smelt so strong! I painted her bedroom door today (still have half the room to paint) and I've had the windows open all day as well as lighting 2 joss sticks in her room but the smell will not budge!

Is it safe for her to sleep in a room that stinks like gloss/paint or should I just keep her in my room. How long will it take to go away!!

Do you have any vinegar in the house? Put some in a container with a large surface area- e.g. A baking tray and leave it in the room for Agee hours. It will neutralise the paint odour and the Vinegar smell will clear in a short time by opening the windows.

doesn't help this time but you can buy some stuff (don't remember what it is called) in a tiny bottle from places decorators buy their stuff which you mix into the paint and it reduces the smell.

Never tried it but apparently a chopped up onion in a bowl in the room works too.

Half an onion does work!
