Need distraction! Tell me about your bedroom...

Currently stripping the hideous lilac wallpaper in our bedroom.

Tell me about your beautiful bedroom.

I'm thinking one wallpapered wall (I know!) as it is a big room and we need to keep costs down. It is a completely blank canvas which is making it quite difficult. Too much choice.

Our bed is a black/brass bedstead and we will be keeping a chest of drawers and a tallboy in oak. And that's it. Inspire me!

Mine is painted in something cotton from dulux. I have cream suede blinds and bed is wood and black metal. Have a huge (slightly tacky) gilt mirror propped against the wall with glass fairy lights along the top. One painting of a white rose on a black background. And a massive black chandelier!
Has been referred to as a gothic brothel... GrinGrin

Have a green/taupe/white vertical striped wall behind the bed which is white and taupe metal Victorian style. Curtains with those colour trees on and accents of those colours though out such as green storage baskets, throws, cushions, art work etc
All other walls, wood work etc is white and floor will be wood with a rug.
Looks fab.

You will need to contain your jealousy when I describe our bedroom.
The walls are blue with a Ben 10 border, curtains and lampshade!!
Now before you rush out and try to copy me I will have to say I have just swapped bedrooms with ds1 as dc3 is arriving soon.
Hopefully by the end of the weekend the walls will be cream with green curtains, jewelled lampshade and no Ben 10 anywhere Grin

Ha jimble, now I do like green, but perhaps not Ben10 green!

Quite like this and it is cheap too.

green birds

Getting more expensive now! I am reckoning on 4 rolls for the fireplace wall. Eeek.

I am also finding myself drawn to yellows and green. And floral. Surprisingly.

Mine is red, with white woodwork and dark furniture, and white bed linen with poppies on. You can see some of it in this picture It used to be DD's room before she moved out, and I was going to repaint, but I've actually decided now I like it. I do want to replace the carpet, which has hair dye on it, and the white shelves with something a bit less workshop like.

Rusty, I had a red bedroom in my last house so feel the need for a change.

Our room next which will be black wallpaper feature wall behind bed, new superking bed with large wall mounted headboard (fabric covered), other walls a grey of some description, charcoal carpet, black roman blinds and gorgeous grey/white bedset Grin

The first three papers are nice but a bit too yellow for me. The LA one is hideous and dated, IMHO!

I have one wall painted in suede effect paint, sand/taupe. The others are all cream.

Really low oak bed and matching tables, cream, beige bronze coloured accessories.

It's really calming and chilled.. Used to have red walls and wrought iron furniture, and not only did it look like a brothel but I found myself waking up angry?

Ours has blue walls which I don't mind but wouldn't pick myself. They were like this when we moved in 7 years ago and we never quite got round to doing this room! And it is a bit of a dumping ground ... 2 wardrobes, 2 overflowing bookcases, big chest of drawers, a pile of bags and suitcases, a pile of boxes with stuff in. I hate it but we are moving soon and I intend to make our new bedroom more of a haven. We do have a nice light shade though!

Jayne Grin, went to see the LA in the flesh, and wasn't too keen.

Still struggling to pin down a theme/colour. Might have a quick look on Pinterest.
