Would anyone care to help me choose the colours for these two rooms?

Ds's bedroom is currently neutral walls with curtains, lovingly handmade my MIL and still looking good, which are a irregular large check in a natural, yellow, green and blue mix. The colours are all quite dull-ish (I don't mean that in a horrible way, just that they are not vibrant shades.)

As it's a bedroom I'd like to keep the colour scheme suitable for sleeping Smile while keeping the curtains if possible (I have trouble sleeping so i like to make sure the bedrooms are all as perfect as possible for sleep Smile)
. DS has so far chosen a wallpaper that is quite funky (I like it) background white and shades of grey with mustard yellow bits for just one wall. I think it will go well with B&Q's own paint colour Olivia on one other wall and then keep the other walls painted neutral. (I planned on a dding in a link to the B&Q website to show Olivia but it doesn't seem to be there as it's too new. It's a mustard yellow I think) DS has quite a large bedroom and it's a slightly unusual shape so not just four straight walls. What do you think? Is that colour sleep inducing or too stimulating?

The other project is a spare room being converted into a den/homework room/kids hangout. The plans is to keep the row of wardrobes but paint them cream. What colours, if any, will aid concentration, inspiration etc I wonder??

TIA

The F&B pale blues always inspire me. I don't have them anywhere myself but a friend recently did her toddler's bedroom in one of them and it's absolutely gorgeous.

Re the top question, if it's only one wall (and not the main one) then fine I'd say provided everything else is neutral.
