small bedroom ideas for DD?

My DD keeps on complaining about how she dislikes her bedroom layout, but doesnt want the family to spend loads getting it done out again. Hmm

Its quite a small bedroom, but not a 'box' room. It has quite a low ceiling so we cant fit in anything that needs ladders...
she so picky and loves the idea of having a 'tumblr room', like these
tumblr-rooms.tumblr.com/

she doesnt like to spend time on things as she wants them over and done with in a click.

does anyone have any ideas on what i could do?
currently her room is purple, with a wardrobe, single bed, a small set of draws, and a desk with a TV ontop.

Looks like fairy lights are the way forward judging from those pics. And maybe a new headboard and pin some sheer fabric across the ceiling?

Ikea has some really great ideas for small spaces, even if you don't like their furniture, their ideas can be really good for a starting point. Will go hunt links...

Platform bed is this doable do you think? Platform could be single bed size and could be two or three drawers high, maybe made from two chests of drawers end to end, with the top reinforced and perhaps made into some sort of box bed? Ladder not necessarily needed stepstool might do. Might save floor space..

The fairy lights are lovely. Sheer fabrics tacked to the ceiling and sort of billowing but not too deeply can soften angles. Same with sheer fabric above the bed sort of like this. A half sheer curtain extending just past the pillow is nice if the bed is against the wall. Gives a hint of privacy.

A section of wall done in blackboard paint and bordered with wood frame is nice for self expression.
