Would carpet in a corridor and wooden floor in a room off that corridor look weird?

We've just bought a new build house and are now choosing the flooring. For downstairs we both agree on wooden floor. The one we like is quite expensive so we can't really afford to have it upstairs as well so were considering carpet. The problem is we will be using one of the upstairs bedrooms as a living area / office and dh would like to have the wooden floor there as well, but I think it would look weird to have carpet in the corridor and then wooden floor in one of the rooms.

The alternative would be to have the wooden floor in the corridor and living room and then carpet in the bedrooms. But somehow I don't like that either... like there's no flow between corridor and bedrooms, if that makes sense....

What do you all think? Any other suggestions?

Thank you!

Two of the rooms upstairs have pale wooden floors, off a carpeted landing, and it looks absolutely fine. The landing carpet is terracotta, so I guess they're from a similar palette, so that might be why it looks okay - something to bear in mind?

No problem at all - it would look good.
