VERY dull query about a new mattress

My kids need new mattresses - theirs are REALLY ropey.

But oh my life, the price of them. I simply don't see how I can afford them right now.

Has anyone got any advice on a good cheap place to buy? What is the least I could hope to spend and still get something that will be good for a few years?
