DD (3.6) drew it today

She was very clear about what it was...

lol,. I fid this thread pretty amuzing!

wem Thu 22-Nov-12 14:16:58

I'm on my phone and can only really make out one huge eye and qas sure it was Mike Wasowski. But a giraffe makes much more sense, with tha black tongue 'n all.

I don't do capitals either, it looks wrong.

Galena Thu 22-Nov-12 14:16:22

Ahhhh yes. Mimmy Moeing. hmm

I have chocolate. But it's cheap and nasty chocolate for DD's advent stockings - and you wouldn't want to eat the manky stuff deprive a young child of chocolate on the run up to Christmas...

I do have a chocolate orange, but I'm not sharing that - not even to get off The List!

HecatePropylaea Thu 22-Nov-12 14:04:42

Chocolate will get you off The List, Galena.

Sadly, it's too late for Captain. Poke and run is a serious matter. As is mimmy moeing The List.

As will be questioning the use of mimmy moeing.

( and i hang out in pedants' corner!)

nickelrocketgoBooooooom Thu 22-Nov-12 14:04:02

I'm on the list.
i don't do capitals

Galena Thu 22-Nov-12 14:01:13

I'm not going to be lumped in with the capital-less ones am I? shock

Just because I offered to send one of you a delightful (and very artistic) 3 year old so I can get 5 minutes peace for a cuppa while it's hot ?

But I'm lovely and nice and... and... nice.

CaptainBarnaclesDaddyman Thu 22-Nov-12 13:48:26

Ironically, not having capitals gets you on The List grin

Galena Thu 22-Nov-12 13:43:17

Uh-oh. I've got a bad feeling about The List... It's got capital letters and everything.

CaptainBarnaclesDaddyman Thu 22-Nov-12 13:40:39

<looks shamefaced>

Sorry Galena. Won't happen again...

<pokes Hecate and runs off>

HecatePropylaea Thu 22-Nov-12 13:37:49

well, you weren't supposed to check!

<adds Galena to The List>

Galena Thu 22-Nov-12 13:33:52

grin It's just SO obvious once you know, eh?!

And Hec and Captain, if you wish to fight, go to somebody else's thread... or I shall send DD to one of you. And she's had her laxative this morning...

CaptainBarnaclesDaddyman Thu 22-Nov-12 13:24:24

I was here first Hec! Go drink some dog vom grin

HecatePropylaea Thu 22-Nov-12 13:19:03

nickelrocketgoBooooooom Thu 22-Nov-12 13:17:29

from above?

HecatePropylaea Thu 22-Nov-12 13:15:49

Stop following me around. I said I'm not talking to you!

CaptainBarnaclesDaddyman Thu 22-Nov-12 13:15:14

That's the fattest giraffe I've ever seen!

My complements to your dd grin

TanteRose Thu 22-Nov-12 13:15:07

Duh, OF COURSE grin

HecatePropylaea Thu 22-Nov-12 13:14:34

She knows more than me! I always thought giraffes had blue tongues. Just googled it. grin

Galena Thu 22-Nov-12 13:11:30

No, the tongue colour is important... The discussion went a bit like this:

Me: Oh DD, that's a lovely picture of... erm...
DD <Gives withering stare as only a 3 year old can>: Mummy! It's a giraffe. You can tell because it's got a black tongue and only giraffes have black tongues!
Me: Oh of course! <Mutters under breath 'I'm sure giraffes have another, slightly more identifying feature!!'>

DD retains useless information like a sponge, so knows they have black tongues. She may have forgotten its long neck, but it had a black tongue .

TanteRose Thu 22-Nov-12 13:04:10

HecatePropylaea Thu 22-Nov-12 13:02:31

it's white?

ghost frog/toad?

HecatePropylaea Thu 22-Nov-12 13:01:59

toad, then?

Galena Thu 22-Nov-12 13:01:00

Psammead is closest. You've identified the important feature correctly - although its colour is important...

HecatePropylaea Thu 22-Nov-12 12:58:32

an elephant?
