The thought of it is far worse than the actual doing. I found that I was so busy I didnt give dd a thought.
Just think of conversations with adults, lunch breaks, going to the loo alone....

Lucky you! I know it will seem hard at first, but as someone who gave up teaching nine years ago to have her family and never went back (well only briefly) I can tell you you are doing the right thing to keep your hand in. You will appreciate your time away and your time with your ds far more.

At least you're only going back for a short while before the holidays and will get full pay for them. I went back one week before Summer Half Term last year.

You have timed your return to work very cleverly! Yes I taught primary. I really should go back, but I can't make up my mind that I want the hassle. When I did briefly return, I found the children I was teaching were so unpleasant, I couldn't wait to get back each day to my own lovely children. That is what I meant about appreciating your own ds more. However, it wasn't good for me as I found I couldn't commit to the job anymore and I gave it up again after four months.

If you have only been away for a short time, I am sure you won't have the same problems as me. Think of the money!
