of how i can start the ball rolling re looking inot setting up a mums and toddlers group (painting/modelling clay etc, all the messy stuff we dont like doing at home on cream carpets!!)

know someone asked a while ago about something similar, but cant find.

am presently on IB and am not yet well enought o go back to work, but when i do, want to do something 'worthwhile', and fun for children, plus i need to fit myself around dd and nursey as we have no help with her.

any ideas?

I used to help run a playgroup before I worked and then we worked through the Pre-school Playgroup Association (PPA) and they provided info and courses etc... You could try an internet search on them for info on setting up if it's still the same now. Don't know if that's any help Evesmama but good luck.

Don't know if this will be any help but our area has a children's information service.

They will let you know what you need to set up i believe and i think have details of people you may be able to get grants from!

Good luck i thought in a brave moment of setting up after school group as childminder already but will probably wait till my kids a bit older.

You need to find a date, a venue...
Steppemum had a thread about this, maybe if you search under her name.
