kitsch art & crafty ideas for kids please

I'm going to trial an art club for 2-4 year olds. Got some positive feedback from mumsnetters.

Now, I'd really appreciate any cool/kitsch/fun ideas you might have that I could incorporate into my sessions...emphasis is on making it fun and inclusive for mums/carers.

A pint of your tipple of choice for the best idea!

Thanks

No idea about kitsch and inclusive, but at the risk of stating the obvious I would have a look at the Baker Ross website if you haven't already done so- even if you're not buying anything there are lots of good ideas. You can get fabric crayons that work really well (much better than felt pens), so maybe a job lot of cheapo toddlers' t-shirts from eBay for them to decorate? Ikea do those nested cardboard boxes in bright colours, dd loves decorating them to give people. Can't think of anything else at the moment!

recent stuff ds and i have have done is;

cellophane pictures of various things stuck on the window so light shines through.

magic wands-lots of glitter and sparkle!

pop up cards-can't explain how to make-you could google it?

characters of us which he makes up plays with.

you could do dream catchers with feathers etc, or wind chimes. decorated eggs at easter(last year ds made a bee).

decorate cheap frames(3 for £1-ikea) with shells feathers etc. (cheap way of getting loads of feathers is to buy feather duster and pull feathers off!)

Draw round a childs hand & cut it out curl around(& sellotape) to a straw then curl each finger back to make a petal - looks like a lily

Cut out hands and arrange in the shape of a flower (for the front of a card)

Daffodils using egg boxes (microwaved first of course)

Toilet roll (sorry kitchen roll cut into 2) made in to bunnies

Hand prints in clay

Playdoh with glitter/smells/colours (esp colours and smells that don't match)

Musical instruments - Toilet roll (sorry kitchen roll cut into 2)in to shakers

Windmills

Those little people cut out of paper and fixed with those little brass thingies (so they move)

I'll think of some more later
