OMG what have I done?

I hae just written an application letter for a part time job in a store which is opening shortly near me.

I have not worked for almost 3 years since having DD in August 2002.

When I spoke to DP last night he just said go for it and see if I could get hours that fit around our daughter's activities.

I have just been into the jobcentre and got and application form from them as there still appears to be a part time vcancy available.

I had gone in to ask a couple of weeks ago as I had no reply to my letter, but was told that the only position remaining was the Assistant Manager. When I went past today there was a vacancy for a part time sales assistant.

I am going to fill the form in now and hand it into the store.

Fingeres crossed I get a reply this time.

It is called Home Bargains.

Apparently the Aldridge store is opening this weekend.

I never got a call, so I obviously have not got the job. I will keep looking though.

Filling in those boring things is always good practice, Ms. Flutterby.

Remember, they may call much later in the year, as things in the store evolve, and they may well keep your details on file, so pester them occasionally.

Good luck in tracking something sutiable down.
