Thinking of returning to nursing?

Saw some postings about returning to nursing and wanted to add some fresh news: Nottinghamshire County Health Partnerships have just put together a 'return to practice'/'out of practice but still registered' programme that involves a 12 month fixed term contract paid at a Band 3 until you complete the RTP course or if registered a set of competencies, then you move to a Band 5 and complete the 12 months consolidating your practice. After that you are free to apply for any post, anywhere. We will also pay your course fees (£1200). If you want further info or to discuss this please contact me: Theresa Brennan, Practice Development Nurse at Lings Bar Hospital, Nottingham. [email protected] 0115 8837 403. We are doing this to expand the nursing workforce with people who have life experiences, nursing skills, care and compassion as their focus. We have had some fantastic Mums contact us and apply!

Hi Theresa, would I be able to contact you about starting out or is it just for people returning to nursing? Thank you.

Hi GingerRogers, its really for nurses wanting to return to nursing and get refreshed and re-registered, however more than happy to speak to you about coming into nursing as a career. Ring or email me on the above number.
