Would love to hear from anyone in a social work career already...I am looking to start a career in this field, but I have no formal qualifications. I was advised to gain some experience so have completed a Home Start Course and currently visit a family voluntary once a week. I heard it might be possible to shadow a Social Worker to get some real experience. Does anyone know if this is possible not being a degree student but just wishing to gain experience to potentially become a Social Worker Assistant or something similar?
