Advice for teacher going back to work...is supply the way forward?

Hi all,

My DS is 8 months old and I'm thinking about going back to work (boo!). I did my NQT year before I had him. Basically, considering TTC #2 soon-ish but want to earn a bit just before/while pregnant. I know I may not qualify for any maternity leave, which is fine - just really want to try and contribute to the finances for a bit!

I'm looking down the supply route but worry I won't get regular work. I've spoken to an agency and, of course, they have said it's unlikely I'd be left without work one some occasions, but I'd love to hear from anyone who has done/is doing supply with a LO?
