Can anyone recommend any organisations offering the chance of voluntary work. I was quite interested in one called link up which was involved with adult literacy and gave you the chance to take a qualification in teaching adults.Something that would fit into school hours/holidays.
thanks

Your area should have an organisation called an Association of Voluntary Services, you should be able to get the number from the council. Most of them run a volunteer bureau and can help you find an interesting voluntary job. Good luck! Some (not many!) even pay childcare while you volunteer!

That site is great sue. I've just found 2 really interesting oportunities - one of which I have followed up already. Thank you for inspiring me

stupidgirl, I'm glad you found it useful.

I work for a Council for Voluntary Services with a Volunteer Bureau attached so I see lots of voluntary organisation info pass across my desk every day!

Many volunteer bureaus upload their vacancies to Do-It.

HelenMH, I had an email today about adults and literacy I think. Didn't have time to look at it properly but if I remeber tomorrow I'll check again.
