You had no office experiance at all, could use a computer but mainly only Word and the internet and basically hadn't worked for years and years and years ??

Previous dental experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given. You will need to be computer literate, efficient and have a calm, sensitive nature. You will be dealing with patients, handling money, selling insurance schemes, dealing with telephone enquiries

Worth applying or would i not stand a cat in hells chance ??

Nothing but I always think that they will think 'what the hell did she bother for, she has nothing to offer us'.

yeah, if you're confident about the dealing with patients bit and have a "calm, sensitive nature" (bless!).

They've offered training and if you can use Word, you can learn any other standard office software easily enough.

Go for it!

I work for a freight forwarders - not dentists - but am sure the same thing applies..although we will always ask for previous experience, what we are really looking for is a confident, pleasent individual who is willing to learn. Go for it!

I would apply but explain my reason for applying without having all the experience needed and explain how you could still make the job work etc...

(Hope that makes sense!) GOOD LUCK
