Just want to tell someone because I won't discuss DDs levels (reading or NC) with anyone in RL and wanted to shout about how proud I am of her. She is 5, just finishing reception and we have just got her end of year report. She is level 2a for reading and comprehension, 2c for maths and speaking / listening and 1a for writing and spelling. I'm so increadibly proud of her and wanted to tell the mn world. Please don't flame me or think I'm boasting because I'm not I'm just one really proud mum Smile

Fab, well done your DD Smile

My DD had a lovely end of reception report yesterday too. We've had a really testing year, I'm totally frazzled, but so pleased that DD has taken it all in her stride and done well at school.

Well done to your DD.

I only know DD is a 2A in reading, will find out the rest at parents eve next week.

Out of interest did they put your DD's NC levels into her school report? (They have refused to do this with DD).

Yes they put it in her school report. I've heard it's different school to school but DDs school give NC levels at the end of every year in the report.

Simpson, they can't refuse to give them to you. Under DPA you are perfectly entitled to them. Ask in writing, citing the DPA.

Congrats noisy, I know how you feel, so proud you could burst but unable to share it for fear of looking like you're boasting!
Not got ds report yet but he is also 5 and assessed 2a for reading,
S good to get good reports as he can be a little bugger!

They are not refusing to tell me, just to put it in writing.

Her report comes out on Monday but I have been told its very photo based of what they have been doing all year with EYFS scores but no NC ones.

Parents eve is on Tuesday and I have been told I will verbally be told them then.

I have a feeling her speaking & listening is very strong as is her writing (probably not as high as her reading though) but her numeracy is pretty bog standard.

brilliant - well done to her.

I don't think we will get NC levels in reception - not been mentioned but then not had a report yet either so not a clue. Would be curious to know what my DD would get as she is reading extremely well but I don't know if they have done anything alongside her actual reading really to get her that high up the NC levels if that makes sense.

Well done to your DD. Grin You are very lucky to get the NC levels as well.

I can't say this in real life either, but DS is in reception and got 16 exceeding and an expected and he's a Summer born. His school won't give us the NC levels as they say they can't directly compare it with EYFS But I can work it out approximately.
