I haven't had a cold and I don't feel like I am getting one. I just woke up yesterday with no hearing and just a ringing in my ear. Its really annoying. I am sure its probably just a virus but has anyone else had this?

I have had an inner ear infection before but this time I don't have vertigo or dizzyness.

I had something like this not long ago but I had a bit of a cold. I woke up one morning with one deaf ear, sometimes ringing. Went to the doctors who said it that the ear drum was distended with fluid behind it. Just had to wait for it to clear, took a couple of weeks of being very deaf and annoyed!

I'm deaf in both ears. Ear 1 for 3 weeks, Ear 2 for 1 week. I was prescribed antibiotics a week ago when second ear went. Anyone have a clue what to do next?

Is it blocked? When I get a cold my ears can go very waxy overnight and block up.

It's not wax. It's fluid. I keep falling over. Not great when carrying a small baby.

Had one course of antibiotics which haven't worked.
