DS is sick again. Anybody out there suffering the same? He gets sick, then i get sick. Its constant. Terrible cough, runny nose. Tried homeopathy, it just comes back over and over. Same for me. Is this some terrible virus that many of us have or is it just us?

I think its that horrible virus, as we have all had it on and off since begining of Jan, you could try vitamin syrup to aid its removal in ds, from boots (thanks to mumsnetters for suggesting that to me!) I used echinachia drops and powdered vit c on me and dh for a week and it finally seems to have shifted in the last week.

Yes, happening in our house too. DD takes a multivitamin, echinacea and chewable Vit C every morning, but it doesn't seem to prevent anything. She has been off school 3 days this week. She's feeling perkier this morning, but has a horrible, chesty cough and we've already gone through a small packet of tissues this morning. Let me know if you find a solution, because I'd like to know too!

I went to Homeopath and the "snot" had decreased a bit, from the nose, but has now moved to the chest. Its just horrible isnt it! I have been using echinacea for juniors in his juice and plenty of fruit but this is just so draining on both of us. I think he is going to choke to death at night, the coughing is so bad. Cant take them outside either for fear of it worsening.

Cant wait till spring. Its snowing here today, so another day "indoors".

Just to say, my ds had antibiotics about a month ago and it still came back, so nothing seems to shift this virus or whatever it is. Try not to get on the antibiotic conveyor belt though. I am sure my doctor will suggest another course, which of course i am not going to accept for ds.
