Rash - does he need to see a Dr?

Have just put DS (13mth) down for his nap and noticed that his front and back are covered in little red spots. He's had vile nappies for the last couple of days but had thought they were teething related. Apart from that he has no other signs of illness and ate and played as normal this morning. Any ideas? Should I take him to the Dr?

TIA

Thanks np - after an age hanging on the phone have managed to get an appointment for later this morning. Will keep him indoors til then incase it's contagious. I'm sure it's probably nothing but I can't help worrying.

Quick update. Seen the Dr and all is well. Reckons some sort of viral origin (what isn't?!) but as he has no other symptoms, is eating, etc then nothing to do but keep an eye on him.

I always worry about 'bothering the Dr' but glad I went as it has given me peace of mind, so thanks for that.

someone once told me 'its better to feel a bit silly at the dr than sit at home worrying' so i hope you agree. glad hes ok. why do they always say viral?! my experience too

He's fine. Still got the rash but it's not bothering him so I won't let it bother me!

Thanks for asking.
