I have had my gall bladder removed and now am pregnant with no3 and my sickness was much worse and I get the horrible sicky burpy feeling you describe, not sure but does'nt the gall bladder deal with bile, so having it removed means the bile lingers about more and causes discomfort?

You could try a stronger antacid, maybe talk to your gp?

Sorry not much use I know!

If your gallbladder has been removed then there is alot of strain on the digestion to breakdown fats - the liver may also be congested leading to this sick feeling. Go and see a good Iridologist (www.gni-international.org) or herbalist e.g. www.associationofmasterherbalists.co.uk to get you on the right track - milk thistle and dandelion is a good start.

my mum has the exact same symptoms as you feeling very bloated and full of food despite the fact she is hardly eating... the nausea is now really debilitating her and yet bar a small stone in her gallbladder they can find no reason for these feelings...

She is back at her consultants tomorrow to see what he can do as so far no meds are working..

but what is interesting is talking to a woman at work who had her gall baldder removed 3 months ago- and she is feeling exactly the same as you ... in fact she says the pain is as bad as when she had her stones and she does not feel like the operation was worth it...
she is back at docs soon so will ask her...

Hope you feel better soon as it sounds awful

sorry to hear you are feeling so bad Lisa... my mum was terribley ill until a week ago when she came off all the meds that she was taking.. she is now on a limited diet and is wearing those acupressure wrist bands to help with the nausea and also having acupuncture... and I am pleased to say she is loads better...

is there anyway you could see an acupuncturist whilst waiting for your appointment - just to help with the symptoms? Forgot to say Mum is also taking loads of aloe vera which she says is helping = worth a go?
