Meningitis - update

Thank you all for your kind words, you have both me and DH in tears.
The latest doctor to visit (no. 5) doen't seem to think it is meningitis, just a virus. And reckons she is not that ill, but as i am sure you will appreciate, any illness to you baby is serious to you.
Regardless of that she has really perked up today. She had a good nights sleep (despite DH snoring!) and has eaten and drunk more today. She has started moving about more, and we even had a couple of smiles. Here temp. has not been as high and she has been weeing more.
Although it is still sad to see her lying there, the panic is over.
Thanks again for all your support. I will give you an update tomorrow.

Goodness, what a relief! So glad to hear it, fee77, 'tho sorry that your little one had to go thru a lumbar puncture. I've had one of those (when they thought I had meningitis), and they're not pleasant! Glad that she's on the mend.

That's a relief, fee77. Don't let the doctor put you off doing the very same if this ever happens again (I hope it won't). Your little dd will recover from this long before you do! Hope you have a smashing and carefree Bank Holiday with her.
