I have huge bald patches at the back of my head, my long hair covers them up but if I put my hair up they are quite visible. I also have a bald bit at the front of my hair right where my parting is and I've noticed my hair really falling out a lot recently especially when I wash it and when I brush it I end up with loads of hair in the brush. My doctor took some bloods and I'm very anaemic which could be the cause of it but I'm worried my hair is going to fall out completely Sad

Just wAnted to offer some sympathy, for what it's worth. I don't have first hand experience of alopecia, though I have a couple of friends who suffer on and off. I understand that some types are very treatable, so it's great that your doctor is following it up.

Try not to focus on the hair on your brush... I moult seasonally, so I'm seeing quite a lot coming out at the moment. It's easy to persuade yourself it's too much when you're worried about it anyway. I know hair loss can lead to anxiety an depression for some people... Do be prepared to seek help for those sorts of co-effects, if you get them. You might find counselling, or mindfulness meditation helpful, to keep your sense of self on the level, independently of your treatment of the hair loss.

Good luck with the blood tests, I hope you find a fix.
