Raised liver function and glucose

Had a fasting blood test last week and the results show raised liver function and glucose, everything else was normal including cholesterol.
Receptionist said I need to make appointment but not to worry as if they were bad the doctor would phone me.

I am worried sick and have high stress levels at the moment from dealing with aftermath of husband's suicide attempt a few months ago.

Have you been tested for diabetes?

Why did you have the tests? Ie what symptoms brought you to the Dr initially? Even if there was a problem with your liver it could be something mild. Especially as they said make a routine rather than urgent appt. liver tests can be ok one day, bit abnormal the next so wait and see what they say.
Do you have the actual results?

No I haven't, is it a different test from the fasting blood test ?
I don't have any symptoms listed on the diabetes website.
FIL was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes a few years ago and he was quite unwell before it was picked up .

I am about 3 stone overweight, but have lost 6lbs in the last 2 months by cutting out all the rubbish !

I am on betablockers for borderline high BP and it was a test our clinic has introduced yearly for hypertensive patients.
Receptionist could not give me actual levels just wether they were normal or not. She has been at surgery many years and said if really worrying the doctor would have rung.
