Raynauds syndrome in feet

I've seen my GP twice about my feet. Over the past 4 years, they have gone from having a small red patch at the top of my toes to my feet being permanently discoloured & red. My feet are also cold most of the time & if I am sitting for a long period they go numb & I have to tap my feet against the floor to get the feeling back. I don't have any pain in my feet, I know this is usually a symptom of Raynauds & this doesn't affect my hands. Anyone else have similar symptoms? I'd really like to have normal looking feet again, last summer I was asked several times if my feet were sunburnt!

I have raynauds syndrome, but normally suffer more in my hands.

My hands go blue then purple then white in the cold and then go numb BUT they are normal colour when in normal temperature, so are not red/purple all the time as you describe.

I suffer most where there is a different temp between my hands and the rest of me- so it doesn't have to be freezing out, but if just colder and I don't wear gloves, it can start. My feet are also cold most of the time, but dont get discoloured or painful.

To ease the pain, I shake my fingers/hands like mad for a good few mins, could you do the same with your feet? Anything to get the ciruclation going really.

Thanks Missmapp, yes I usually keep wriggling my toes , especially when sat at my desk at work. It's interesting , what you've said about your hands changing colour , that's not something that happens to my feet. I went back & saw another GP recently, she said my feet were discoloured because I have thin skin! You couldn't make up it really. I'm not convinced it is Raynauds to be honest...

I think I have raynauds and my feet are permanently reddish purple. It's rubbish. I have no solution and asked a group of doctors I was socialising with and they said it's not really fixable!

I have Raynauds and my feet are always freezing. However I also have a rather lovely recurring fungal infection that begins as a red patch on top of one of my toes. Could it be that?

I have raynauds in my hands and feet, and it's worse in my feet (I can practically turn my toes blue on command). My feet aren't red though, and my rheumatologist seemed to think if they did permanently change colour it would be to black, thankfully this hasn't happened. Try bundling your feet up? I wear giant socks & sheepskin boots even in the summer.

I have silver socks and silver gloves which I wear under wool socks and gloves. I find that combination helps quite a lot:

Also I think acupuncture helps too.
