How likely is it to keep happening? Does anyone have any experiences?

It happened again yesterday, same elbow, had it popped back with just gas and air this time and I really don't think I can go through that again. I'm really terrified this will keep happening.

The first time was from a fall, yesterday I leant on the sofa and it went again. I'm only 25 and don't want to go the rest of my life panicking about it.

Dislocations are horrible. I'm not sure what you can do to prevent them, we try strapping up with tubi grip/bandages etc with dcs but it doesn't prevent all of them happening.
Physio may help to re strengthen surrounding tissues and make it less likely to happen again.

I really feel for you its a real sick feeling in the pit of your stomach intense pain. Hope you are ok

Thank you. It's very sore today and my boss has told me to take holiday until Monday (bless her) to rest. I think where it's the second time and happened so easily, that the fear of it happening again is more intense.

It is just the most awful feeling. The hospital were brilliant but it's really scared me.

Talk to your GP. Tell them your worries and ask to be referred. It sounds like you will need an operation to tighten the ligaments around that shoulder.

I think that's a good idea, I'll call them tomorrow and explain how it's shaken me up. Haven't left the house today as I'm just so worried it will dislocate. Which is stupid.

It's not bruised this time, last time my whole arm was covered in a large bruise, I'm hoping that's a positive sign.
