6th day of fever with flu - shall I go to the doctor?

I'm so fed up, and I've got a chesty cough. I'm thinking of going to see whether I've got some secondary infection. Would you go?

I'm so exhausted that the thought of lugging myself there and waiting for an hour to be told to stay in bed and take paracetamol is really unappealing!

after nearly a week of being ill (presumably too ill to work by the sound of things), I'd be going to see the doctor. Aside from anything else, I'd expect the people I manage to have done this if they'd been absent from work for a week, so your workplace may expect it.

Don't mean to sound unsympathetic, you sound really ill, try to take care of yourself!

You're right - I probably need to go and get a medical certificate or something. I hadn't thought about that, I guess I'm a bit fuzzy in the head at the moment! I will go to GP tomorrow.

Well I felt better, and then felt worse again, and now I've got bronchitis and sinusitis, so this whole flu malarkey is about 2 weeks of feeling like you've been hit all over with a big stick! Hopefully abs will now work their magic.
