ablation for fibroids??

6 months ago I had a hysterocopy to treat some fibroids growing under the lining of my womb, they were causing mid cycle bleeding. They couldn't remove them but trimmed them back instead and inserted a mirena coil. 6 months on and I have light bleeding about 90% of the time so I think it's safe to say it hasn't worked. I'm going back to consultant to discuss what to do next. Ablation has been mentioned but I believe even that won't remove the fibroids, even though they're small. Has anyone has ablation for this problem? Did it work? Of course the other option is hysterectomy which I know is a bit drastic but guaranteed to sort the problem, which I'm now thoroughly sick of by now.....
