Could this be from the c section?

My hands, knees and most other joints feel very achey and a little painful, especially towards the end of the day when I'm tired.
It isn't massively disruptive just uncomfortable and I get very stiff when on my knees and can struggle to get up.

These symptoms seem to have started after the birth of my DS when I had a crash c section.
Do you think this could be caused by the spinal block from the operation?

I'm thinking about seeing my GP if it's something that won't be too problematic to treat? I've heard things about people having to see a physio?

I had a spinal block and no problems but doesn't mean you can't have them. How long ago was the c-section? Hope you will feel better soon.

Thank you for the reply!
The c section was 10 months ago, it could be a coincidence but it seemed to start after the operation.
I have googled about it but can't seem to find anything

I've had a emcs and a crash cs. My recovery from the crash was much slower and I had low level health issues (tooth abscess, throat infection, eczema etc )and general fatigue for a good 6 months.

I would check with your GP. Also, and I know it sounds esoteric, how about seeing an osteopath, if GP can't find anything. Best wishes

It could be a general post-pregnancy thing. Your ligaments all loosen up when you're pregnant and once all your body's weight distribution changes post-birth, it can take a while for them to get back to normal. I'm 15 months on and still hobble around like an old woman with my knees in the morning. Friends have reported similar after-effects, and it doesn't seem to be related to the type of delivery we each had.

I've found that pilates has helped quite a bit. Also helps sort out the pelvic floor area!

I read that you still have relaxin in your system for 12-18months post delivery. I had sore achey ankles for a year and then they jut went back to normal.

I feel your pain! No one tells you about the knees! I have to say that at 15 months in, they're starting to get better for me (or maybe I just notice it less), so hopefully you don't have to put up with it for too much longer...

It's awful isn't it! I was worried it was because of the operation and that it wasn't going to go away. Fingers crossed it'll be temporary Smile
