It all started about 3 weeks ago with my bottom eyelid which twitches on and off all day - feel like I'm winking at everyone Blush

Now today I have one going in my knee every time I sit down or stop moving and to top it all the side of my hand is joining in Confused

Head is telling me to be sensible and it's nothing but its driving me mad!

Any ideas how to stop it? please?

Sorry, no idea but joining you because I've had exactly the same thing with my eyelids for the past three weeks too and can't stop them. Last time I had this was during uni finals and I put it down to too much reading.

Google says it's stress (not stressed) or too much caffeine.

Hope someone will come on with advice.

I get eye twitching (and stuttering too) when excessively tired. If other bits of you are joining in, I'd be monitoring it for a good few days and going to the GP possibly.

This can sometimes be due to magnesium deficiency. I use to have this problem frequently, I use magnesium oil which is just brill.

Me too! Started New Year's Day with my bottom left eyelid, now a finger!

I reckon it's stress, interested in the magnesium, worth trying

Its a sign of magnesium deficiency, and also can be dehydration. Drink more water, try a magnesium supplement and add more magnesium rich foods into your diet, such as oats, leafy green veg, nuts and seeds.

Often happens in times of stress, when we have a higher requirement for magnesium. Put simply, we need calcium to contract out muscles, magnesium to relax muscles, hence the muscle twitches when we need more.

I had this last year, it started with my eye then other random twitches started to appear, drove me mad. When I googled, it said thinking about it makes it worse. It did eventually stop, it's the only time i've googled and been reassured usually I end up convinced I have some rare terrible illness

Hi there. I had this over christmas ... started with the top eyelid (I felt it looked like I was winking at people too - very annoying!) then moved to in closer to my nose. It was a good three weeks before it stopped. I was getting worried it meant something serious but then it stopped. I ended up putting it down to to much summertime reading! Ive had no probs since we've come home and Im back into all the washing, cleaning etc and have no time to read :)
Hope yours settles down soon.
