Hi, I have this. Horrible isn't it. I have been taking lymecycline for a few months now and, touch wood, have had no flare ups since. Mind you, I do still have a hideous festering thing in my armpit that just won't go away. I am thinking that if the lymecycline continues to do its job and keep it at bay I might ask in a few months about having the thing in my armpit cut out.

I was diagnosed with this a couple of years ago after having a 'spot' in my groin that just wouldn't go.

I was given a course of antibiotics to take and some spares for the next time it flared up. The 2nd batch have now expired - I haven't needed to use them thank goodness.

Sorry to hear that yours is so bad OP - have you seen a dermatologist recently?

ive had surgery under each my armpits and ive not had a flare up since. However I do still suffer in the groin area despite losing 5 stone to get to a normal bmi and stopping smoking. I can sympathise with you as its a horrendous condition to live with. when I was first diagnosed I didn't talk to anyone about it through embarrassment. I now tell anybody who will listen and it's amazing how common the problem is. Most people I speak to either suffer from it or have a close friend/relation who does x

Suspected. GP won't diagnose it as such. I get lumps in my groin and last year a random open hole appeared that took ages to go
This year had a sore armpit, hole appeared, took ages to close. Closed up but felt sore about 6 inches below, barely touched it and hole reopened Sad
Currently with iodine dressings the wound has closed but my armpit hurts like hell tonight. Am on antibiotics for it

I suggest those of you with this read up on turmeric. It is a spice. You can take tablets of it or take it as a powder, and you can make it into paste and apply it as poultice. It can start tingling in ten minutes.
It sounds miraculous so I tout its value. You can read about it on earth clinic, or just google it.

Just remember turmeric stains anything a bright yellow, and is a bugger to wash out, so just make sure you don't get it on clothes.
