Cold sore in pregnancy

Can this harm the unborn baby? Have not kissed dc1 at all since getting it (my first in almost 3 years), but worried I'll pass it on to her.

Am using the competed patches, the pharmacist said it was safe to use in pregnancy but not Zovirax.

Is there anything else I can do to help speed up the healing process?

Saw the midwife last week and asked her if the patches were okay to use. She checked and they are fine (phew - want to use them so as not to infect my girls accidentally). Sure she would've mentioned any possible harm to the unborn baby and she didn't.

Hmmm my pharmacist said Zovirax was fine to use in pregnancy 2 years ago
