I had a bronchial infection which I took antibiotics for and it seemed to clear up the terrible cough, but ever since (a week now) I have had a stitch-like pain that is constantly there and really uncomfortable. I had a phone appointment with my GP and from my description he thought it was muscular and told me to take anti-inflammatory painkillers, but I asked if I could have an X-ray as I was concerned that the pain could be in my lung, but he point blank refused and said unless I was coughing up blood I didn't have good enough reason to have an X-ray. The pain continues even with painkillers and now I don't know what to do. Any suggestions please?
