And if so, when does it go, and how does it go?

Or do I need grommets?

Had it 2 weeks ago and if you can take Sudafed I'd recommend it. Sorted me out. Pharmacist recommended the syrup as it works faster.

Oh thanks Glitter. It's horrid and I'm fed up. Supposed to be flying on Sat too. Burst eardrums will be a laugh.

Okay so right ear has been like it for over 3 weeks, and left ear for a week and a half.

One course of antibiotics has done nothing.

Can't take Sudafed as I'm breastfeeding.

Have you tried steam inhalation - only helps if eustation tube between nose and ear is blocked. I add menthal crystals but do not know if OK with BF. Could try olbas oil (the one for babies perhaps) and see if that helps. Can the GP or pharmacist suggest anything that is suitable? There are nose sprays that might help and be OK for BF and flying. I used to stick a vick patch on ds when flying with colds that caused ear pressure problems - worth a try for you.

Can a pharmacist recommend a decongestant that is safe for bf? Steam is good but at times like this I need big guns (narrow Eustachian tubes).

Otherwise Olbas pastilles are the mutts, or airwaves gum.
