Sorry you feel so awful. hard to say how long it will last...hopefully 24-48 hours max, depending on what is causing it. I once had a bout for over a week.
Try and rest, if you have more than one loo then keep one loo separate for you. Wash handtowels, taps, doorhandles etc to prevent passing it on.
Keep clear of other people until 48 hours after the symptoms stop.

Which is good, really

usually 24 hours, but I always find the worst is over in 12 and then you need to sleep and starve, hope you feel better soon, it is horrid.

If it does not get better after 48 hours you are in real danger of getting dehydrated, and I would advise seeing the doctor. Hope you feel better soon hun x

well on the bright side if your dh has been at work then he will have been protected from your germs!!
Great news re his new job.
Try and avoid handling food, he might have to cook the dinner, hope his day went well and you are soon on the mend.

I'm on my 4th day of feeling utter shite but then it did peak Saturday. I'm still in starve and sleep mode, napping for a couple of hour then a couple of hours awake.

It will last as long as it takes to work its way out of your system as my GP helpfully informed me. Taking things to stop either symptom (D or V) can prolong the illness. Being dehydrated can also make any cramps feel more painful too apparently so make sure you keep hydrated and hope you feel better soon.

Best wishes to your DH too, hope his first day went well.

Hope you are fully better soon
