Hi, don't know what lmp is, but can't see how the yoghurt would be related to the pains.
Hot water bottle, paracetamol????

just wondered if it could be allergy to the yoghurt. Think i would be asking for pain relief at this point if i was in labour

Is your temperature OK? I don't know what could be causing it, but if you have this pain and your temp is up, what about calling NHS direct for their opinion.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but didn't want you to think no-one was about or bothered

I would go to the doctor if it's really painful. I wouldn't think it would be the yoghurt, but considering that's the only change you have introduced it could be, Have you tried NHS direct? They may help you better (www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk)

If the pain is sufficiently strong as to be the same as the stage that you would be asking for pain relief in labour, I would probably go to A&E. I only say this as when my appendix nearly burst, the pain was similiar to very bad period pain. I think the yoghurt would be unrelated. I hope you are ok this morning.

I once read that it's not a good idea to use yogurt as you would an antifungal cream. . .that it's really not ever meant to be used vaginally. So I wouldn't rule out the possibilitiy it's introduced some kind of infection, even though other people seem to use it that way without apparent harm. Anyway, I'd call your surgery and try see or at least speak to the on-call in case you have something that is acting like thrush but is actually more sinister. I may be overreacing, but it's what I would do. . .you're talking about your reproductive system and I just wouldn't wait until tomorrow, especially if you've had the pains since 1.30 am.

(I, too, by the way have had recurrent thrush over the last couple of months and would definitely see the doctor pronto if I started getting the kinds of pains you describe.)

could it be ovulation?

wouldn't have expected the yoghurt to cause problems as its "good " bacteria - but you could be allergic to it. I'd see a doctor. Does your stomach feel hard/ does the pain move about?

Maybe you've got pelvic inflammatory disease. Need to see G.P. Can be treated with antibiotics.

Right back home now, still got pain, not as bad but still there. Will ring the surgery in the morning, not particularly worried about my reproductive system - think i've done my part for the continuation of the planet. Will take some paracetamol before i go to bed.
